Seeds of Strength, a women’s philanthropic giving circle founded in 2010, reached a milestone by raising and distributing $2,547,488 for Georgetown nonprofits since its inception. The group held its spring meeting on May 21 at Grace Bible Church (where $180,000 in grants was awarded) to benefit eight local organizations.
The groundbreaking for the new SportClips Family YMCA occurred on May 29 at 6200 Williams Drive after voters approved a 2023 bond election — Georgetown and the YMCA split costs with $10 million and $17 million respectively.
