At a May 26 workshop, the Williamson Central Appraisal District told council members that Georgetown's total market value rose by $930 million to $26.07 billion, led by commercial values increasing from $3.7 billion to $4.5 billion while median home prices fell.
Seeds of Strength, a women’s philanthropic giving circle founded in 2010, reached a milestone by raising and distributing $2,547,488 for Georgetown nonprofits since its inception. The group held its spring meeting on May 21 at Grace Bible Church (where $180,000 in grants was awarded) to benefit eight local organizations.
