About this event
We are offering a series of workshops on different subjects related to starting/running a small business led by SCORE volunteers, the nation’s largest network of expert business mentors. In this workshop, join inventor and design strategist Stephen Schaefer as he breaks down the science of where great ideas actually come from and gives small business owners a simple, repeatable process for triggering them. Leave with a 'Ahaa Toolkit'.
Registration is required.
Your best business ideas rarely show up at your desk — they show up in the shower, on a walk, or in traffic. There's a reason for that, and it's not luck. In this hands-on session, inventor and design strategist Stephen Schaefer breaks down the science of where great ideas actually come from and gives small business owners a simple, repeatable process for triggering them on purpose — not waiting for them by accident. You will leave with your own personal 'Ahaa Toolkit',a practical system for catching, capturing, and acting on the ideas that could move their business forward.
Stephen Schaefer spent twenty-five years as a Product Designer and inventor. He worked at HP, Polycom, and Plantronics. Along the way, he earned more than twenty-five patents for his ideas. He built a career turning "Ahaa moments" into real products. Stephen believes innovation isn't some special gift, reserved for inventors and engineers. It's a skill. And skills can be taught. Through SCORE, he works directly with small business owners and entrepreneurs to build a personal toolkit for generating and capturing more "Ahaa Moments."
