If you follow Friday night football, here's where the Georgetown area landed. FOX 7 Austin's post-Week 10 Central Texas rankings list Georgetown second in Class 5A at 5-4 after an idle week. Liberty Hill is 5-4 and idle too, and Legacy Ranch, also 5-4, lost to SA Alamo Heights 42-11.

Jarrell beat China Spring 36-7. Lexington beat Florence 69-0, and Fredericksburg beat Taylor 27-21. Florence hosts Schulenberg on Thu., Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. at Stampede Stadium. VYPE also lists a 7 p.m. football game between Cedar Ridge and Round Rock.

The UIL state cross country meet comes to Old Settlers Park in Round Rock on Nov. 6-⁠7

If you like a good race, the state cross country championships run Fri., Nov. 6, and Sat., Nov. 7 at in Round Rock. Amarillo-area schools sent qualifiers in every class from 1A to 5A, including White Deer, Booker, Happy and Hartley in 1A and Amarillo Palo Duro in 5A.

Friday's state cross country races start at 8:15 a.m.
