About this event

The season of giving is right around the corner, and we have a special panel planned for our final Breakfast Bites & Downtown Lowdown for this year, on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at the Georgetown Public Library - Friends Room! Join us for "The Gift of Community: Giving Back & Getting Involved," a conversation about the many ways individuals, businesses, and organizations give back and make a difference in Georgetown. Our panel will feature Ginna O'Connor with The Caring Place, Rachel Cummins with Sweet Lemon, and Scott Alarcon, with Karin Sladek of Georgetown Health Foundation serving as moderator. Together, they'll share their perspectives on giving back, getting involved, and building a stronger community. This November's program is sponsored by SouthStar Bank! We're grateful for their support in bringing these conversations to our community. Schedule: 8:15 a.m. - Doors open for breakfast & conversation 8:30 a.m. - Program begins Afterward - City departments, Chamber of Commerce, and community partner updates This quarterly program is a joint effort between the Georgetown Main Street Program and the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, designed to provide practical ideas for local businesses, timely updates from City and community partners, and opportunities to connect with fellow downtown stakeholders. We hope you'll join us for a morning of conversation, connection, and community! Please RSVP to Rachel White, rachel.white@georgetowntexas.gov Rachel.White@georgetowntexas.gov, if you plan to attend.
