If you live in Georgetown ISD, Prop A was on your Tuesday ballot. We don't have a final count. Early results at 7 p.m. had it too close to call, with about 50.46% of early voters opposed. Results aren't final until all precincts report Election Day votes.

Prop A is a . It would raise the rate nine cents and cut the interest and sinking rate three cents, for a total 2026-27 rate of $1.1106 per $100 of taxable value. If it fails, the rate returns to $1.0506.

Elections

Early voting climbed sharply in Williamson and Travis counties ahead of Tuesday's midterm

If you voted early, you had company. Early voting climbed sharply in both counties, with substantial increases over 2022. In Travis County, more than 450,000 people had voted early by Monday, the most for a midterm since 1998.

  • Three counties: nearly half of registered voters had voted by Monday
  • Travis early turnout also topped the 2012 presidential election
  • Primaries: turnout was the highest since 2008

That's about 100,000 more than the last midterm, in 2022. The reports we have don't give Williamson County's own totals.
