- ➤ Three Georgetown organizations — the Georgetown Ministerial Alliance, the Georgetown Project and the Rotary Club — are planning the third annual Day of Service on September 11 to bring together volunteers and support local service projects. - ➤ Nonprofit Georgetown Free Bikes donated over a thousand bikes before moving from its founder's garage into the former Rabbit Hill School at 2055 Farm to Market Road 1460 in Georgetown—its grand opening was held on April 5. - ➤ A 37-year-old man was arrested in Driftwood Tuesday after search warrants revealed significant quantities of drugs and several firearms — two of which were reported stolen, and he faces multiple drug and firearm theft charges. KXAN

- ➤ Georgetown city staff and developer Swinerton celebrated the topping off of the parking garage at 502 South Main Street on Tuesday, April 8. Mayor Josh Schroeder said the project is the city's first downtown garage and brings the skyline one step closer to completion—paving the way for future projects. The Williamson County Sun
- ➤ Georgetown City Council approved an interlocal agreement on April 9 with Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter partners that will include Georgetown in the county shelter system.
