- ➤ The Georgetown City Council launched a new public transportation system called rideGTX in partnership with Uber and zTrip that gives residents a monthly QR code for 10 discounted rides — including trips to hospitals in Round Rock and service to downtown. The city budgeted $192,000 for vouchers this year and up to $275,000 in the third year under a three-year contract with Trippp Consulting, and officials will review usage to decide if the program may expand.
