- ➤ An 18-wheeler hit a bridge on I-35 near Georgetown Thursday, prompting TxDOT to close the bridge at County Road 143 for several days + reports later showed that northbound lanes near 195 briefly reopened at 7:22 p.m. KXAN

- ➤ Georgetown will soon welcome top barbecue joint Schoepf’s BBQ—an award-winning Belton restaurant—as it plans to open a second location at 820 S. Austin Ave. on Georgetown Square in early fall while final plans are made. KXAN
