GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Governor Greg Abbott signed a property tax relief package on Monday that raises the homestead exemption to $140,000 and increases tax breaks for disabled Texans and seniors, which will help 5.7 million homeowners save money. The legislation also boosts the business personal property exemption to $125,000 — the new measures must be approved by voters in November. KXAN
