- ➤ Georgetown Mayor Josh Schroeder announced on June 23 that he will run for reelection in the May 2026 mayoral election — he would serve a third term until May 2029 if reelected. The Williamson County Sun
- ➤ Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson drew the ballot order for 17 proposed constitutional amendments at 11 a.m. on June 25 in her Capitol office (the most amendments on one Texas ballot since 2003). She assigned proposition numbers for measures passed by the Legislature (covering property tax, parental rights, voting rules, tax limits, dementia research and judicial reforms) that will appear on the Nov. 4 ballot.
