- ➤ TxDOT announced a detour for the RM 1431 bridge over Cow Creek (closed after heavy flooding on July 4 weekend) so drivers traveling from Lago Vista to Marble Falls must take an alternate route. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ House Bill 2038, the Doctor Act, set to go into effect in September, will let experienced international medical graduates bypass U.S. residency to help ease the doctor shortage in Texas, especially in rural areas.
