- ➤ An Amtrak train traveling from San Antonio to Chicago hit a vehicle at an unprotected crossing south of Taylor around 10 a.m. on September 3rd—killing the driver while officials confirmed that 71 passengers and nine crew were unharmed. FOX 7
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Georgetown police said that an 18-wheeler carrying an excavator struck the Hwy 29 bridge on Sept. 2, shutting down I-35 and involving five vehicles while two people were hospitalized, one in critical but stable condition — investigators say the driver’s load violated his permit and may face criminal charges.
