- ➤ Georgetown City Council approved a $1.3 billion FY26 budget on September 9 that lowers the property tax rate to 35.3 cents per $100 (from 36.5) but rising property values may push the average bill up by about $14. Residents will also face a 9 percent water and 12 percent wastewater rate increase plus a 2 percent rise in electric rates as the budget funds capital projects and essential services. FOX 7
