The Anna+Anton Olson Legacy Foundation awarded more than $164,000 in its sixth annual grant cycle to 15 nonprofits serving Georgetown, Taylor and Hutto, bringing six-year giving to over $1.1 million and funding staffing, systems, equipment and infrastructure to boost organizational sustainability.

Georgetown ISD is asking voters on Tuesday to approve Proposition A, a six-cent tax-rate increase (from $1.0506 to $1.1106 per $100) to fund teacher raises and avoid cuts, and the median homeowner with a homestead exemption would pay about $8 more a year.
