  • Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced Operation Double Nickel on Tuesday to lower the senior property tax eligibility age from 65 to 55 and to increase homestead exemptions by $40,000 + extend tax savings to about 3.3 million Texans; the measure now awaits legislative review.  FOX 7
