Charles Woodruff McCook wound through downtown Georgetown with military honor guards, motorcyclists, and community members gathering along Main and College streets before the ceremony ended at IOOF Cemetery. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Williamson County commissioners approved WCEMS’s application to seek an LCRA grant for a Zodiac FC-420 water rescue boat and protective gear costing nearly $39,300—this move comes after the service said borrowing boats slowed rescue efforts during the July 4 flooding and that having its own boat would improve response times. The team of 14 trained swift water rescuers must match 20% of the cost if the grant exceeds $5,000. KXAN
